LMCR - Battery Park
Project Overview
The Lower Manhattan Coastal Resiliency (LMCR) project at Battery Park aims to enhance resilience against climate change impacts, including rising sea levels and extreme weather. MTD Group conducted Subgrade and Rebar Inspections to ensure structural integrity and safety.
These inspections assessed the quality and stability of underground materials supporting the infrastructure, focusing on load-bearing capacity and drainage. We also evaluated the reinforcing steel (rebar) to ensure it meets necessary specifications for strength and durability.
Location
Battery Park, Manhattan, NY
Type
Subgrade Inspection
Reinforcing Steel - Rebar Inspection
Completed for NYC-EDC in collaboration with Bureau Veritas
Highlights
Our team of experienced professionals conducted thorough evaluations of the subgrade materials and conditions to identify any potential issues that could affect the structure's integrity.
Advanced testing methods were used to assess soil stability, compaction, and drainage, ensuring that all aspects of the subgrade meet industry standards.
Reinforcing steel (rebar) inspections confirmed that the materials used adhered to necessary specifications for strength and durability.
We take pride in our detailed reporting. Each inspection is accompanied by a comprehensive report outlining the findings, recommendations, and any necessary corrective actions, providing transparency and reliability.
